www.AnfieldScandal.com YouTube "Anonymous" Complaints over GVA Grimley
An "Anonymous" Person has made several complaints to Youtube regarding a video we posted in which we spoke to GVA at their office in Liverpool. We complied with the first complaint as we assumed that it was from YouTube and we did not want to do anything against their guidelines. However after receiving a flurry of specific complaints we soon realised that we were just being advised of the complaints and they did not necessarily clash with the guidelines. Rest assured that we always act in a professional and legal manner. Therefore in response to this we have posted the complaints in our campaign diary and uploaded further videos from other visits to GVA who are were Ex directory and did adopt a locked door policy at their office. We have also sent a polite email to GVA today asking them once again if we can have open and transparent communication instead of cloak and dagger secrecy. We are awaiting their response. This is not however to say that they are responsible for the string of complaints, we are just after better communication. |

www.AnfieldScandal.com - Paul Evans Liverpool City Council Top Solicitor Leaves Council
Paul Evans Liverpool City Council’s top lawyer becomes latest executive to leave council by David Bartlett, Liverpool Echo Friday June 03 2011 Paul Evan’s, who has been handed an £80,000 pay-off, became the sixth senior manager to leave in a cull that started with former council chief executive Colin Hilton last May. He is also one of 400 council workers to leave under voluntary severance or early retirement since the start of the year. Liberal Democrat opposition leader Paula Keaveney said she was shocked at the departure and only discovered Mr Evans was leaving on Tuesday – his final official day of work. It is understood Mr Evans is not allowed to speak about his exit as he has signed a gagging clause. His deputy Jeanette McLouglin will now become acting city solicitor and the council will advertise the job shortly. Cllr Keaveney said: “I was genuinely shocked when I found out he was leaving. “It is a real shame he has gone because he showed a lot of commitment to improving things at the council. “One of the things he worked hard to improve was the FOI process, all those sort of things that we were once very bad at. “I also think that when senior staff leaves it is not appropriate to tell people on the day it is happening.” Last year the council offered voluntary redundancy to any manager earning more than £60,000 as part of a far-reaching efficiency drive. In April director of education Stuart Smith departed to seek “a new challenge”. Mr Hilton announced his retirement in May last year – just days after the Lib-Dems lost control of the council to Labour. John Kelly, executive director of regeneration, left last autumn. Cath Green, former community services executive director, and Robert Corbett, ex-city treasurer also left last year. A Liverpool council spokesman said: “The city council’s appointments panel approved an application for voluntary severance and his final day was May 31. “We would like to take this opportunity to extend our thanks to him and wish him well for the future.” |
